Obama's big day in two minutes

More than a million people braved cold temperatures in Washington to witness Barack Obama's inauguration as the 44th president of the United States.

The day began when the Obamas attended church and was due to culminate with a series of balls in the capital.

After the inaugural lunch the Obamas walked along Pennsylvania Avenue waving to the crowds.
