Accident investigators have revealed details of the final moments before a plane crashed into New York's Hudson River.

Kitty Higgins, of the National Transportation Safety Board, told reporters that the last thing the pilot said to air traffic control was: 'We're gonna be in the Hudson'.

The pilot, Chesley B "Sully" Sullenberger, has been hailed as a hero for the way he handled the landing.
