Obama unveils his US Treasury team


President-elect Barack Obama has named the four key members of his US Treasury Team.

Mr Obama said he had sought leaders who could offer "fresh thinking" and share his belief that you can not have a "thriving Wall Street without a thiving Main Street".

Timothy Geithner, president of the New York Federal Reserve, will become Treasury Secretary.

Former Treasury Secretary, Lawrence Summers is to head the White House's National Economic Council.

Christina Romer of the National Bureau of Economic Research will head the Council of Economic Advisers.

Melody Barnes will become director of the Domestic Policy Council.
