US attorney general 'recovering'

US Attorney General Michael Mukasey is recovering after he appeared to faint during a speech in Washington DC.

Mr Mukasey, 67, started shaking and slurring before he collapsed and lost consciousness behind the podium.

A spokesman said that Mr Mukasey is recuperating in hospital and there were no signs of a stroke or heart problem.
