Voters' Views: Samantha Cramer

Presidential candidate Barack Obama has reached out to US voters in a half-hour, prime-time advertisement underlying his dominance of the airwaves.

Here Republican and Democratic voters share their views on the commercial and the Democrats' advertising advantage.

Obama's half-hour advertisement has lessened my opinion of him

"I am by no means a fan of Obama, but his half-hour advertisement has only further lessened my opinion of him.

After being forced to sit through commercial after commercial on every TV and radio station for the past few months, now we have witnessed the most blatant display of a man so much in love with himself that he proceeds to squander millions of dollars on another sales pitch.

Is it not annoying that Obama is so desperate for votes that he will hand over exorbitant amounts of cash to television networks while his supporters and the rest of the country suffer the pains of a worsening economy?

I hope that people who support the Democrats will realise that it is not a question of race, age, sex or party, but rather it is the simple fact that an Obama presidency would be disastrous."
