Trapped pups saved one week on

Puppies discovered in a hole beneath a Phoenix school's portable classroom have finally been rescued.

Paw Placement rescue workers found the puppies under Andalucia Middle School a week ago and managed to coax the mother out with food and water, but the puppies were too young to follow.

A fibre optic scope was used to see how far into the hole the puppies were - 16 feet - then a hole was cut to reach them. In all, nine healthy puppies were reunited with their mother.
