Aftermath of a truck crash in Bolivia
About 60 people were thought to be on the truck when it crashed

At least 46 people have died after a truck loaded with passengers and goods plunged at least 200m (650ft) down a cliff in Bolivia.

Several children are among the dead, and at least 11 people were wounded, according to local media reports.

"The truck was loaded with 60 people who were sitting on top of their loads, which crushed them when the truck fell," Erbol radio reported.

The accident took place near the mining city of Potosi, in southern Bolivia.

Police declined to give a cause for the crash, but witnesses told local media that the truck had been speeding.
