A Cuban college baseball player, who disappeared shortly after arriving into the United States with his team, has said he will apply for political asylum. The player, Mario Miguel Chaoui, re-appeared in Miami in the company of Joe Cubas, a local sports agent who has helped other Cuban baseball players defect.
