Ten million free condoms for Brazilian carnival

The Brazilian health authorities say they're to hand out ten million free condoms during the annual carnival period later this month.

The campaign is part of efforts to curb the spread of AIDS.

The authorities say they'll be spending more than two million dollars during the five-day carnival, promoting the slogan 'No Carnival Without Condoms.' Last year, officials handed out two-point-five-million condoms.
