Brazil police raid luxury store
Brazilian police carry boxes with documents as they leave the Daslu headquarters
More than 250 officers took part in the operation dubbed "Narcissus"
Brazilian police have raided a leading luxury-goods store, Daslu, arresting its owner and three executives suspected of tax evasion.

More than 250 officers took part in the operation at the store's new premises in Sao Paulo.

Store owner Eliana Tranchesi, 49, was arrested at her home. She could remain in custody for up to 10 days under a temporary arrest warrant.

The operation is part of Brazil's crackdown on white-collar crime.

Ms Tranchesi, her brother and the two other managers detained by police are accused of underbilling imported products to evade taxes.

The operation, dubbed "Narcissus", started in 2004 after tax police seized underreported goods intended for the store at two airports.

Daslu's current premises - a four-storey building which boasts a private heliport - opened in May in the exclusive district of Vila Olimpia.

The store sells top brands like Prada, Chanel and Luis Vuitton, as well as cars, yachts and helicopters.

A spokeswoman for Daslu said the store would co-operate with the investigation.
