Fatal bus crash in Peru

Two road accidents in Peru involving buses have killed at least 16 people and injured 48 others.

In the first accident, a bus packed mainly with local traders plunged off a bridge into a river late on Tuesday east of the capital, Lima.

At least 12 people drowned and another 30 were injured.

The other people died when a bus crashed into an oncoming truck in the south of the country.
