New charges brought against Raul Salinas in Mexico

The Mexican judicial authorities have brought new corruption charges against the jailed brother of the former President, Carlos Salinas de Gortari.

A judge has accused Raul Salinas of illicit enrichment of some four point three million dollars.

He's been in a maximum security jail since 1995, accused of murder and corruption.

Swiss officials last month seized more than one-hundred million dollars in his bank accounts there, saying it had been paid to him by drug gangs.

Raul Salinas has always maintained his innocence.
