Colombian journalist murdered

The editor of a regional newspaper in north-eastern Colombia has been shot dead.

The body of Mario Prada, who ran a cultural monthly Horizonte del Magdalena Medio was found beside a road outside the town of Sabana de Torres.

Right-wing paramilitaries and Marxist rebels are active in the area and are known to have killed journalists in the past.

Mr Prada was the fifth journalist to be murdered in Colombia this year.

Ten journalists were killed last year.
