Guatemalan prosecutors want Serrano
Guatemalan prosecutors are seeking an international warrant for the arrest of the former Guatemalan president, Jorge Serrano, who is in exile in Panama.

One prosecutor, Mario Leal, said they were changing tactics in their bid to get Mr Serrano extradited, by concentrating on criminal rather than politically-motivated charges.

He said the former president and one of his ex-ministers, Francisco Perdomo, were wanted in connection with fraud and embezzlement in May 1993 when they led a coup.

Panama has previously rejected calls for the former president's extradition.
