In pictures: Remembering Pearl Harbor
Ceremonies have taken place across the United States to mark the 60th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor naval base in Hawaii, when more than 2,000 Americans were killed.
This year's commemoration has had special poignancy given the 11 September terror attacks on New York and Washington, with many commentators pointing to parallels between the two events.
