More bother for Bush daughter
![]() Jenna's father has put his drinking days behind him
By Jonny Dymond in Washington
US President George W Bush's daughter Jenna has been fined and sentenced to community service by a court in Texas. Ms Bush pleaded guilty to a charge of using a fake identification card to try to buy alcohol. The case, her second brush with the law in three months, concerned a visit she made to a Mexican restaurant at the end of May. Police said she ordered a drink and, when asked to produce identification, showed a driver's licence belonging to somebody else. The legal age for drinking in the state of Texas is 21. Ms Bush is 19. Fined Just two weeks before the incident took place, she was ordered to take alcohol counselling and perform community service for another drinking offence. Because of that previous case, the fine this time was $600 and her driving licence will be suspended for 90 days. Ms Bush did not appear in court. The White House traditionally refuses to comment on what it calls private family matters. The president is at the family summer home on the north-east coast, but neither Jenna nor her twin sister Barbara, who also pleaded guilty two weeks ago to under-age drinking charges, have joined him there.
