Colombia hit by car bombs
Sixteen people have been injured in Colombia in a car bomb attack in the south of the country, which has been blamed on left-wing rebels.

The device went off late at night in the town of San Martin, damaging nearby buildings, including the local police station.

Most of the wounded were hit by flying glass.

A second car bomb in the north of the country caused damage but no injuries.

These are the latest in a series of explosions in Colombia, which have revived memories of a bombing campaign in the early 1990s by the former head of the Medellin drug cartel, Pablo Escobar.
