World Cup: Training to play football at altitude


With the 2010 World Cup just one month away, teams will soon be heading to South Africa for the last stages of their training.

Many of the games will be held at high altitude, presenting challenges for footballers used to playing nearer sea level.

Jonah Fisher spoke to Professor Elmarie Terreblanche of Stellenbosch University to find out what impact this can have, and how to prepare for it.
