Officials from more than 20 countries are meeting in Egypt to discuss how to recover ancient treasures which they say have been stolen or looted.

The meeting is chaired by Zahi Hawass, head of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA).

Countries taking part include Peru, Greece and China.

The conference has drawn up a wish list of high-profile items they want repatriated from Western museums.

Yolande Knell reports from Cairo.
