Manchester City footballer on Togo bus ambush

Togo's national football team has been attacked by an armed gang, several players were wounded and the driver was killed when attackers opened fire with machine guns.

The team was travelling by bus from Congo Brazzaville to Angola for the Africa Cup of Nations.

In an interview with BBC Afrique, Manchester City striker, Emmanuel Adebayor, who was onboard the bus but was unhurt, said the attack lasted thirty minutes.

"It's to be honest one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life" he said.
