Combating piracy in the Seychelles

Somali pirates are continuing to cause havoc in the Indian Ocean, as far as 1,000 miles from the country's coast.

They have disrupted major shipping lanes and are holding around 200 people hostage, including the British couple Paul and Rachel Chandler who were kidnapped last month after leaving the Seychelles in their yacht.

The European Union anti-piracy naval force has now reported the longest-range pirate attack off the coast of Somalia.

The BBC's Will Ross reports from the Seychelles on the difficulties of catching the pirates.
