Fast internet reaches East Africa

Fast internet has now reached the coast of East Africa which was previously deprived of a proper connection to the web.

A fibre-optic cable has been laid under the sea from India to countries stretching from South Africa up to Kenya.

Rory Cellan-Jones reports from Mombasa.
