Clinton demands end to Congo rape

The American Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has arrived in Nigeria on the fifth leg of her seven nation tour of Africa.

Earlier she toured a refugee camp for victims of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Speaking in the city of Goma, Mrs Clinton said there must be punishment for those responsible for widespread rape attacks against women. Human rights groups say rape is being used in the area as a weapon of war.

Wendy Urquhart reports.
