Zimbabwe abandons its currency

The Zimbabwean acting finance minister Patrick Chinamasa has allowed Zimbabweans to conduct business in other currencies, as the local currency continues to inflate at an alarming rate.

Mr Chinamasa made the announcement as he delivered the annual budget to parliament.

Shoppers in the capital Harare, discuss the implications of paying in other currencies, including US Dollars and the British Pound.
