Two opposition leaders escape from jail in DR Congo
The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo has announced that two jailed opposition leaders have escaped. The Deputy Interior Minister Faustin Munene said the two men, Joseph Olenghankoy and Arthur Z'ahidi Ngoma, had broken out of a prison at Buluwonear the southern city of Lubumbashi. He said a former adviser to President Laurent Kabila Masusu Nindaga escaped with them. But the minister said he could not confirm how, or when, the escape happened.
