DR Congo editor released

The authorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo have released the editor of one of the country's most popular newspapers, Le Palmares, following his arrest on Saturday.

The editor, Michel Ladi Luya, said he had been questioned about the paper's publication of a statement by the opposition leader, Etienne Tshisekedi -- who is under house arrest.

Mr Luya is the second editor of a pro-opposition newspaper in Kinshasa to have been detained since February.
