US court overturns DC gun ban

The US Supreme Court has ruled that a ban on handguns in Washington DC is unconstitutional, and that Americans have the right to own guns for personal use.

Security guard Dick Heller brought the case after DC city council rejected his application to keep a handgun at his home.

Jamie Coomarasamy reports.
