Four killed in Ghana tribal clash

Ghana

At least four people have died in fighting between two ethnic groups in northern Ghana.

The clash between Kusasi and Mamprusi tribesmen started on Sunday when a Kusasi man was shot dead as he left a mosque in the town of Bawku.

The town is now calm after the government deployed extra troops and police and enforced a 24-hour curfew, Reuters reported.

More than 30 people have been arrested so far, the news agency said.

There have been several violent clashes between the two groups since a gunfight on New Year's Day.
