Kenyan voters' views: Denis
Denis Onyango, 37, works as a civil engineer in western Kenya in the port city of Kisumu on Lake Victoria in Nyanza province.

Denis spoke to the BBC News website from his home at 1330 GMT.

Denis was impressed by the huge voter turnout in his area
I am happy that I have been able to vote for the person who I feel can meet our needs

I voted at 1045 local time [0745 GMT].

There was a huge turnout. My wife and I arrived at the polling station at around 0600 local time.

There were many logistical problems and the organisation was not very smooth.

NYANZA PROVINCE
Political affiliation: ODM (Odinga) majority
Ethnicity: Luo
Issues: Poor infrastructure; failing agriculture; fishing industry

Delays have been bad in my area today.

There were a number of work mates and neighbours there at the station but no-one was really chatting - we were all just concentrating on getting to the front of the queue and casting our vote and then returning home.

I am back at home now watching the television reports.

There are five channels running live updates and I am making sure I am across all of them. I am watching Nation TV the most though, as they seem to be giving the most balanced reports.

Supporters of Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga campaign for his election as president
I like ODM because of their broad-based vision for our country

Today the newspapers are full of yesterday's story in which three policemen were killed after they were accused of vote rigging here in Nyanza.

The papers are saying that the cases of violence that sparked up in Nyanza were the making of the government.

Reportedly the government transported policemen disguised in civilian clothes and in private motor vehicles in the lead up to the election.

And apparently they were then attacked when the voters found out about the rigging.
