Grace was tempted to vote for President Kibaki
I woke very early to go and vote in Mombasa.

There was a lot of people.

Security was tight and it was all fair.

People didn't understand the alphabetical order and so some didn't know that they were getting in the wrong line and then when they had to queue all over again they were annoyed.

COASTAL PROVINCE
Political affiliation: ODM (Odinga) majority
Ethnicity: Taita-Taveta; Miji Kenda; Pokomo; others
Issues: Poor infrastructure; neglected cashew nut production; maritime industry

People turned out in large numbers.

The weather today was very good in Mombasa - calm and not very hot, so people were not too uncomfortable waiting.

But it was very congested with everyone pushing and pulling.

Everyone so determined to cast their vote.

Some people had come a long way, even from the US, Switzerland and Canada just to vote.

I have one worry and that is the violence. It frightens me
Grace, Mtwapa

All shops and businesses and everywhere are closed, so people just vote and then go back home.

I am going to spend this evening sitting in front of my television watching the results coming in and finding out who our president will be.

I will wait and see.
