Joseph MB Johnbull, 29, is the pastor of the Victory Church of God in Kenema in eastern Sierra Leone. He was an observer at the elections.

As a Christian, I prayed for positive change and I was granted it.

I was happy of course at the election, especially when I think of the credibility.

People were crying for change and we made it happen.

I am not particularly worried about the minor skirmishes and provocations. That behaviour has always been around.

It's marked a beginning for the end of election corruption and fraud.

Kenema is really not a stronghold for the party now in power and so many people around here were surprised. But they are not making any violent moves. The war and our past brings those worries because the war came when the old All People's Congress party (APC) were in power.

We don't want those old things to come back.

But I think of Mr Koroma, I see a man to be reckoned with and some potential to take our country to another level. I see qualitative leadership characters and he has charisma.

I feel good about my future and I have hope. I really know that five years from now, so many things will improve.

I pray that all these will come but what I hope to see most is a Godliness in our country.
