Odette Johnson, 26, works as a secretary in the capital, Freetown.

I did actually cast my ballot despite saying that I wouldn't.

I must say I am happy with the results and more so about the electoral commissioner who was once a nun and head teacher - Christiana Thorpe.

Even though she is a woman, she stood tall and dealt with election malpractices just like she might have reacted when finding one of her former students cheating in an examination hall.

I think big of the man who is our new president, Mr Koroma.

He is change.

His voice speaks positively.

And by his words and our prayer as a nation he will be a good leader.

I think there is hope for us women as the president himself is ready to face a tough task to fight corruption and power shortages which are the key problems in this country.

And I think the women will have better chances if these areas are tackled.

My life will completely change if they implement what they spoke about and wrote in their manifesto.

As we saw, the past government were good at writing but the worst at implementing.
