Ernest Gborie, 21, is from Bo in the south of Sierra Leone. He is unemployed apart from occasionally working at a children's rehabilitation centre.

The election result has shown that we voted free and fair.

I feel free, like other citizens, and we are all happy.

The situation in Bo town is really fine, calm and peaceful - it is a good mood here. No violence.

I really want to commend all citizens for a job well done.

We have shown the international community that we are all about.

For me, I really appreciate the outgoing party's efforts.

But we needed change and so we have it and are welcoming it.

I hope that the new government will continue the good work that the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP) started.

I want the fight against corruption to continue and for my country to have tolerance and development.

Since Monday afternoon, when the chief electoral commissioner Christiana Thorpe announced that Koroma had won the presidential poll, a lot of people have been in the streets, jubilating and celebrating.

With Koroma leading the All People's Congress (APC), I hope that the winning party will bring us peace and development, and make ours a corruption-free country.

When I talk about development it includes jobs and higher education, which are both very important to me.

And really, the APC's manifesto put development at the top.

They have plans and so I hope now that they implement them quickly. I think that development is just round the corner, waiting to enter Sierra Leone.
