Nigerian voters' views: Chukwuma
Chukwuma Odelugo, 45, has recently returned home to Enugu in south-eastern Nigeria after living and working in the US. He is a practising lawyer.

Chukwuma says Nigerian politics is all about stealing
Western governments must realise that in Nigeria the formed government is nothing but a gang of thieves.

Here, politics is all about stealing. Politicians gain power to rob our country's riches.

It's all about the oil money and everyone wants to get their hands on it and politics is the way to do so.

We, Nigeria's people, are given nothing. We are not provided for.

For me, middle age is approaching and that is why I decided to return home, to give it a try while I still can.

But now I am not so sure.

NIGERIAN VOTERS' VIEWS
Map of Nigeria

Life in Nigeria - there are many opportunities in Nigeria, don't get me wrong - but only for those who have the capital and most don't.

People like myself can afford to. But even then the standard of life here is so low, there's not much to spend your money on.

Practising law is an experience here too. You must understand that because Nigeria has been under military rule for so long, the principle of lawyers defending the constitution is relatively new.

It only came into being in 1999 and so lawyers are having to learn constitutional law. Experience is lacking.

All I ask is that these elections are not stolen from us.
