Kate, 31, works as an engineer for a oil company in Nigeria's commercial capital, Lagos.

Kate wants a government that can improve the standard of living
I want a government that can improve the standard of living and give us light.

A maximum of four hours of power each day is not enough.

We are richly blessed with oil and natural resources but most Nigerians are living below the poverty line.

Yesterday I had to buy petrol for my generator - I am lucky in that I can afford this luxury.

But most cannot afford to buy it because it is so expensive, thanks to President Olusegun Obasanjo.

What is going on is not good. And I don't see it getting better because this is not an election. What happened last Saturday was not fair - the total number of votes counted greatly supercedes the turnout of people which was so low because people were afraid.

Even me, I came out very late and the votes were so many. I am curious. I don't think that the state polls were a true result.

I hope Vice-President Atiku Abubakar wins. The more Obasanjo is against Atiku, the more we love Atiku.
