Sha'aya'u hopes Muhammadu Buhari will be the next president
Muhammadu Buhari has the confidence and the vote of the masses.

But Yar'Adua will be the winner, the ruling party will make sure of it.

The way I see it, the two contenders are both from my state, Katsina but the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate will win.

In Nigeria, elections are just a window dressing. Just to make the international community feel that a leader has been legitimately chosen but the masses, we know that it is selection, not election.

NIGERIAN VOTERS' VIEWS
Map of Nigeria

The elite have the power to choose whoever they want.

As a student, our general concern is the infrastructure - health, electricity, water, power. Every politician promises these things to us but they always fail to provide.

Politics here in Katsina is more rampant at the state level than at the federal level and so I think things will be calm on presidential polling day.

The PDP have already won and although it is rigged, there's nothing anybody can do.

Politicians here believe that the number of thugs you keep is a priority.

The more thugs you have, the more votes you have.
