Congolese voters' views: Reverend Mande
Various election scenes in DR Congo

Reverend Guy Mande preaches in the Democratic Republic of Congo's second city and capital of mineral-rich Katanga province, Lubumbashi.

I truly believe that my country is going to take off.

Empty lorries pass through a market in Lubumbashi on their way to the mines, before returning fully laden with minerals

It is very interesting to see how the Congolese are experiencing democracy.

In this regard I would like to salute the courage and commitment of President Kabila, everybody must agree that he has great spirit.

There will be peace and prosperity, the Congolese have matured and they are going to make the right choice.

It is unfortunate for those who are still talking about negotiations, at this late stage. Maybe it is because they are used to becoming ministers through an arrangement.

CONGOLESE VOTERS' VIEWS

But now they must learn about democracy.

They must embark on the train of democracy that is taking all of us on a journey.

I hope Joseph Kabila is given the opportunity to take our country to its new destiny.

May the God of peace guide his steps.
