Landmines still being laid in Angola

The United Nations mission in Angola has accused the former rebel movement UNITA of re-laying mines on main roads which had previously been cleared.

In separate incidents last week, four people were killed in the central province of Bie after triggering devices on roads which had been cleared.

The UN mission warned that such actions could deter donor countries preparing to help fund demining operations and projects to rebuild Angola after the long civil war.
