Nigeria man questioned over fire
The Nigerian authorities are questioning a man about a fire that burned out the Lagos offices of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation on Tuesday.
The man, Chris Nwokobia, gave himself up to the police in the city on Wednesday. A number of media organisations had received phone calls saying that a group Mr Nwokobia is associated with, the Youth Democratic Movement, had started the fire. Mr Nwokobia's lawyer is reported to have asked that his client be taken before the courts. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
