In pictures: Zimbabwe votes
People are voting in presidential elections in Zimbabwe, where the first day saw long queues form outside polling stations.
Voters faced long delays, particularly in the capital, Harare, where local and mayoral elections are also being held.
Some 5.6 million Zimbabweans are eligible to vote over two days
Long queues formed outside polling stations
Amendments to the election laws and fewer polling stations have slowed down the process
Robert Mugabe, in power for over 20 years, expects to be re-elected
His police force was accused of intimidation in some areas
Some voters found themselves ineligible to cast their ballot at the polling stations
But key to many voters are food shortages, rising prices and unemployment
