In pictures: Madagascar's 'ghost day'
The capital city of Madagascar, Antananarivo, was largely deserted on a weekday for the first time since national strikes and mass protests were launched to call for the resignation of the president.

![]() But on Tuesday, opposition supporters shut down pretty much everything else
