'40 dead' in Angola helicopter crash

A helicopter is reported to have crashed in Angola, killing about 40 people.

The French newsagency, AFP, says the helicopter came down in the province of Bengo, north of the capital, Luanda, on Saturday while on a flight to the city of Uige.

It quotes the vice-governor of the province, Mendes Domingos, as saying that rescue workers have found the remains of some of the victims.

There has been no word about who was on the helicopter or what may have caused it to crash.
