Reports from Kenya say ten people have been killed by a local vigilante group in the southwest of the country on suspicion of witchcraft.

The victims were all elderly.

Several were said to have been burned beyond recognition.

The reports say the killings were in revenge for the abduction of a villager, who said he had been forced to participate in an exhumation and then to eat decomposing flesh from the corpse.
