Ismaili leader in Tajikistan
The spiritual leader of the Ismaili Muslims, Prince Karim Aga Khan, has arrived in Tajikistan at the start of a six-day tour of Central Asia. He's to have talks with President Rahmomov on, among other things, the opening of an international university in the town of Khorog, the administrative centre of the Gorno-Badakshan region. The Aga Khan's tour will also take him to Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
