Israelis attack Hamas stronghold |

| A senior Israeli officer said it was possible one soldier had been killed by gunfire from his own side. A fourth soldier was wounded in the fighting. The Israelis were looking for Mahmoud Abu Hanoud, who's accused of involvement in at least two bomb attacks. He escaped to Nablus, where he was detained by Palestinian police.
