| The sixth Sarajevo film festival has divided its top prize between the British director, Mike Leigh, and the Taiwanese film maker, Edward Yang. Sixteen thousand people attended this year's festival, which ran for nine days. The Sarajevo film festival began in 1995, when the Bosnian capital was still under siege.
