Hundreds of people are attending a memorial service for Edinburgh teenager Craig Norsworthy who died in a coach crash in France.

Friends and relatives of Craig, who was 15, gathered for the service on Sunday at Duddingston Church.

The church hall was the venue where the 41st Edinburgh Boys' Brigade met.

Craig was with a group from the Boys' Brigade troop when the coach they were travelling in overturned near Bourges.

The service, which began at around 1500 BST, was lead by Rev. William Brown.

A funeral service for Craig was held earlier this month.

Rev. Brown paid tribute to the dead teenager, who attended Portobello High School in Edinburgh.

He said: "He was awaiting GCSE results, which had been held back in the circumstances.

"He was not only loved, he was also respected by his parents. I respect my son. Stephen Norsworthy respected his son.

"It shows in every line of his conversation and attitude. There is just no higher accolade."

Five friends of Craig paid their special tribute to the teenager during the service.

They said together: "C is for cheeky, R is for respected, A is for admired, I is for individual and G is for great friend."

Prayers were also offered for the two coach drivers, one of whom, Adrian McDonald, 25, was at the wheel when the vehicle overturned.

He is under formal investigation for manslaughter after the accident.
