| President Clinton has arrived in Nigeria at the start of a two-day visit, the first leg of an African tour. He will be having talks in the capital, Abuja, with President Olusegun Obasanjo. A White House spokesman said Mr Clinton wanted to signal strong support for what he called the most important democratic transition in Africa since the collapse of apartheid in South Africa. |
