Togo PM loses confidence vote
The parliament in Togo has passed a vote of no-confidence in the fourteen-month old government of Prime Minister Eugene Koffi Adoboli. The vote was passed overwhelmingly, being opposed by only one member of the assembly -- which is dominated by President Gnassingbe Eyadema's Rally of the Togolese People. It's the first time parliament has passed a vote of no-confidence in a prime minister, and under the constitution he must now hand in his resignation to the president.
