Body confirmed as missing woman

The police have confirmed that the body found in a shallow grave in County Antrim on Thursday was that of Julie Tennant.

Ms Tennant, 21, had been missing from her home in Ballymena, County Antrim since 5 August.

The police found her body in a field in Broughshane, near Ballymena.

A man was remanded in custody on Friday when he appeared in court in Ballymena accused of murdering Ms Tennant.

The accused, who had earlier been questioned by police, was arrested at Dover ferry port on Wednesday.
